Today, February 17th, 2021, is ash Wednesday; it is a day of penance. With ash Wednesday lenten season begins. During lent there is a call to return to God through fervent prayer, devotion to the word of God, fasting, and almsgivings. During this time we are often reminded of God's mercy and love. More attention is paid to the mercy and love of God to remind us that He always wants us back.
